No, you do not have to use a bread machine to make these sandwich buns. You can make these the old fashioned way by kneading the dough for about 10 minutes. This is what will help your buns develop gluten that will make your sandwich buns soft and fluffy! After you are done kneading you will let the dough rise for 35 minutes. Then punch down and shape your buns!

What ingredients will I need to make these sandwich buns?
For the dough:
Flour – I chose to use white flour for this recipe to ensure softness!
Water – I like to use filtered water.
Salt – I use pink salt for all of my recipes!
Yeast – I use this rapid rise yeast.
Butter – Any butter as long as it’s real butter will work.

How do I make soft sandwich buns?
First thing you are going to do is add all of the ingredients to your bread machine starting with wet ingredients first and ending with the dry ingredients.
Next set your bread machine to the dough setting and press start. Let it run through its cycle. Be sure to check if the dough is mixing properly.
Once the dough is done rising in the bread machine you can now remove the mixing bowl.
Grease a pan and start rolling out the sandwich buns. Once all the dough is rolled out and placed in a pan, let the buns rise for 35 minutes or until doubled in size.
Once the sandwich buns are done rising, preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
Whisk up an egg and 2 tablespoons of milk. Begin to brush the tops of the sandwich buns. Top with whatever seasonings you like!
Bake for 13 to 15 minutes or until golden brown on the tops of the sandwich buns.
