I love salsa. In fact my whole family loves salsa. I used to buy jars in the store, but I started feeling convicted when I would read on the label “PARTIALLY PRODUCED WITH GENETIC ENGINEERING” I knew I had to find a better way to get salsa to my family.

My favorite way to make salsa now is to go out in the garden barefoot and pick all my fresh tomatoes, cilantro, onions, and peppers. I bring them in, wash them up, and turn them into fresh salsa. There is nothing more rewarding than going out and experiencing creation the be way God intended it to be. I’ve never felt more connected and in tune than when I’m in the garden working in the soil from which we came.
If you don’t have a garden to make fresh salsa from don’t let that get you down. Store bought veggies will work just fine for this recipe! The great thing about salsa is that you can toss in whatever you want (veggie wise) and it always turns out great. When I make this I usually use what I harvested. If that’s 5 jalapenos, 2 bell peppers, 7 tomatoes, a teeny bit of cilantro I still have left because I used so much in other meals, and an onion it’s still going to be good! Today I will be sharing with you my family’s favorite salsa!
