My family and I love cheese dip! We would frequently go to our local Mexican restaurant, but then the prices of everything went up and now it’s just not something we do any more. I decided I would learn how to make my own. This cheese dip is just like the one we used to get! I bet it is just the recipe you are looking for too!

Why make this cheese dip at home?
There are plenty of reasons to cook this Mexican cheese dip at home. For one you get to control what goes into it! You get to pick the quality of cheese, whether the chilis are organic or not, and if your heavy cream is just cream, or if it has additives in it. That is enough reason for me to make it at home, but there’s another reason as well. The second reason is because you can choose how much to make. Do you want just a small bowl or are you going to need a crock pot full? It’s up to you!
What ingredients will I need for this Restaurant style cheese dip?
For this recipe you are going to need only 4 ingredients. Simple right?
White American Cheese – You can find this at your local deli. For this recipe I am going to use Lank O Lakes white American cheese. When I get the cheese I just ask if they can cut a one pound hunk for me. If they are ever confused, I just let them know its for cheese dip and I’ll be cutting it up later.
Heavy Whipping Cream – Heavy whipping cream is going to give this cheese dip its creamy and thick consitancy.
Canned Green Chilis – The green chilis are going to give the cheese dip that distinct flavor you are looking for in a restaurant style cheese dip!
Salt – I just use a dash of pink salt in this recipe. You have to add just a little to make this cheese dip taste just right!
